7T Bruker - Data Transfer

Data is stored under the following dir /opt/PV4.0/data/<username>/nmr/<bstudyname>

Note:
<username> is the user login at the scanner (default user is “fmriuser”).
<bstudyname> is the name you used as a study name + a random extentsion

To get the <bstudyname> for your study:
  1. On the scan control window click on the study button.
  2. This will open a new window that has a list of the studies for that patient.
  3. Right click anywhere within the window and choose view by path
Back to Top
  1. Open a command window (by clicking on the terminal button in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen)
  2. To copy the study use the following command:
    bcopy <bstudyname> <servername> <username on server>
    ex: bcopy 02_24_08.LL1 fmriserver emang

Note: the bcopy will copy the whole study. We recommend that you copy the whole study because there are some text files required for converting the bruker images into analyze format.

Please make sure you delete your study off the scanner after you transfer. We do not provide backup for data on the scanner and we frequently clear the disk to provide space for more studies.

To delete a study, right on the study and click on delete.

Note: It is recommended that you delete runs that say Ready or New since they contain no data, also delete runs collected using the POSITION_bas protocol (these are one dimensional data sets that do not get converted to either DICOM or analyze and cause the script to crash)

1. To check disk usage, click on the Disk Management (first icon on the top menu on the System Control Window)
