Courses
Biomedical imaging has the potential to transform many disciplines. Imaging is necessarily an interdisciplinary collaboration, and for this reason training at both the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels needs to transcend traditional departmental boundaries. To serve this need, faculty from the CFMRI, in collaboration with other colleagues at UCSD, have developed the following courses:
Course Number | Description | Faculty |
SOMI 276A | fMRI Foundations | Drs. David Dubowitz, Richard Buxton, Frank Haist |
SOMI 276B | fMRI Design and Analysis | Drs. Amanda Bischoff-Grethe, Richard Buxton, David Dubowitz, Frank Haist, |
SOMI 276C | fMRIÂ Advanced Topics | Dr. Richard Buxton |
In addition to the formal courses, Dr. Richard Buxton's book Introduction to Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Principles and Techniques (Cambridge University Press, 2nd edition 2009) provides a useful guide to the field for both experienced and novice fMRI investigators.
